DERTy Diner

During the build season, we have dinner as a group. This helps strengthen the team and provides mentors with more time with the team. Parents either provide dinner or pay to have it catered.

meal ideas

This document has ideas for dinners. The students really aren't very picky. Please don't overdue spaghetti or Little Caesars pizza.

DERT meals (DERTy Diner)

Parents provide meals to support the efforts of students and mentors during build season.
  • Meals are provided Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays at 6 pm and Lunch at noon on Saturday from Kickoff until the first competition. The end date is dependent on which regional we are attending and the completion of the robot.
  • Dinner should be brought at 5:30. Please plan on staying for set up, share dinner with us, (your family is also welcome!) and clean up.
  • We eat in the commons. Use the doors by the shop to enter. Students are available to help bring in food.
  • There will be about 45 people to feed each day. A better approximation will be determined for each week on the Friday prior and will be on the website.
  • We have students and mentors with various dietary limitations and allergies. These are listed on the website
  • Plates, bowls, cups, napkins, plastic utensils and jugs of water will be provided by the team.
